The First Steps Football Academy is a football camp that will take place in Gwinnett county during early June. This camp is dedicated to introducing football to both middle and elementary schools students and helping them learn specific skills in the game of football. We would like to invite your company to participate in a program through the camp called “First Steps to Academic and Athletic Excellence”! This program will reward students and families who normally would not have an opportunity to send their child to camp, reward students who are interested in learning football, qualify for government programs at their school or have demonstrated academic excellence during the school year. The goal of this sponsorship is to help motivate students who love sports but might need to be motivated academically. This award will go to students from participating schools and give them an opportunity to attend a week long football camp while receiving coaching from collegiate coaches and current and former NFL players.
WHY SHOULD YOUR COMPANY GET INVOLVED?
With the economy as it is the cost of camps for many families is an extreme hardship. Many families can’t afford to send their children and with camps starting in mid-June some parents face a hardship to leave their children alone or try to find a daycare. Our hope is to set a goal for the family as a whole to motivate youths who love football and but normally would not be able to financially take advantage of a camp like this. The first experience many youths have with football is trying out for a team. They end up getting turned off from football because they don’t understand the game, the rules, or what to do? This camp will address all of those concerns and help further the players development of football. The bulk of the cost for the camp is flying in NFL players and paying coaches to take time off to participate. We need your support to get this done.
HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?
There are three levels of sponsorship.
A) NFL Starter (Level 1 – $250-$1000)
B) Pro Bowler ( Level 2 – $1500-2500)
C) Hall of Famer (Level 3 – $3000-5000)
Your company level is dictated by the amount of money you can donate to the camp. NFL Starter level is for companies that can donate up to $1,000.00 and may also be able to donate product if applicable for the camp. Pro Bowl level is for companies that can donate up to $2,500.00 which may be a combination of product and cash, and Hall of Fame level are companies that donate up to $5,000.00. Your company can send a check to First Steps Football Academy, 1009 Poplar Mill Court, Buford, GA 30518. You will be notified of the school that you have sponsored and receive a letter from the principal at the end of the year of the students who you sponsored.
WHAT DOES MY COMPANY GET FOR BEING INVOLVED
NFL Starters will have their company logo engraved on the First Steps to Academic and Athletic Excellence Award. This award will have pictures of the students who won the award and be housed in a prominent place in the schools hallway. The companies name, address and one sentence from the company on why supporting the program is important will go out to parents at schools all over Gwinnett county three times during the year. If the company has coupons or gift certificates their information can be distributed during the camp. Pro Bowlers will receive the same benefit as NFL Starters in addition to having their name/logo on the camps t-shirt that all the campers receive. Hall of Famers will receive the same benefit as Pro Bowlers in addition to the company having their company logo on a field sign that will be at the camp all week. The First Steps Football Academy will have a website for registration and information and your company logo will be displayed on the site in addition to have a link from the website to your website. Each camper will get a certificate at the end of camp and that certificate will also have the company logo on the bottom as a supporter.
